I believe language is more than words—it is culture, identity, history, and human connection. My work centers on immersive bilingual education, translation, interpretation, and community engagement, helping individuals communicate with confidence while fostering deeper understanding across cultures.

Learning is deeply personal. Every person brings unique experiences, perspectives, and ways of understanding the world. My goal is to create educational experiences that are thoughtful, practical, and tailored to each individual, recognizing that meaningful communication begins with listening.

My academic journey at Ivy Tech Community College and Butler University was shaped through an individualized interdisciplinary program that brought together Spanish, Latin American Studies, Indigenous Studies, civic participation, immigration, and community engagement. Grounded in the Spanish language spoken in my home and my Mexican heritage, these experiences continue to inform both my professional work and my commitment to lifelong learning.

 

Throughout my career, I have worked across education, nonprofit organizations, animal welfare, advocacy, and community development. These experiences have strengthened my belief that language is one of the most powerful tools for building relationships, expanding opportunity, and creating stronger communities.
